Main Street Momentum is a critical project for Zionsville that will make traffic traveling to and through downtown more efficient for vehicles, bikes, and pedestrians.
The original grid system Zionsville was built on pre-dates automobiles. Frequent traffic delays and a lack of pedestrian crossings are just a couple of the reasons the town is committed to improving the downtown Zionsville experience.
Design is expected to be completed in 2026. Utility relocation may begin in Fall 2026. The majority of construction efforts will take place in 2027.

Main Street Momentum is being funded through a combination of grant funding and dedicated local funding sources. The town received $4 million in READI 2.0 funding. The town is also committing $1.5 million from its general fund, $2.5 million from tax increment financing funds from the Zionsville Economic Development Area, and $2 million from the Road Impact Fee Fund.
